The Cardiorespiratory Division is represented primarily by Response Medical. Both EMS Medical and Pro-Care also have growing business in respiratory care.

The main product focus is in Cardiology where the company promotes a full range of ECG, holter, stress and ambulatory BP monitoring systems from US manufacturer, Welch Allyn. No other UK distributor has such a breadth of product in this area. Response Medical also boasts the addition of patient monitoring in the form of the highly successful Propaq® monitor to its portfolio. Non-invasive impedence cardiographs from German supplier, Medis, complete the Cardiology range of diagnostic capital equipment.

The division's success was initially founded on the sale of products in the field of defibrillation (defib), where the healthcare sector has seen huge changes over the past ten years. Increased competition and significant price reductions have led to diminished margins. Few companies operating in this field have more experience than the Response Medical Cardiorespiratory management team. Defib supply agreements are in place with the Ministry of Defence and NHS trusts in the Ambulance Services sector. 100% of Defib and ECG sales are domestic.

In Respiratory Care the company has secured a pan-European distribution agreement for the award-winning Inogen oxygen concentrator. Manufactured in US, EMS Medical anticipates Inogen sales of some significance in 2007. This division also supplies respiratory consumables for California based Salter.
